Gas water heaters are available in various makes and sizes. The size you require is dependent mostly on the number of outlets you are likely to have open at the same time. We stock Kexin, Fagor, Bosch and Safegas. The liters/minute shown below indicates the number of liters flowing through the unit and being heated per minute:

6L/Min     Suitable for kitchen or basin
11L/Min   Suitable for basin or single shower
14L/Min   Suitable for two showers or shower and basin
18L/Min   Suitable for multiple outlets

These units ignite by detecting the water flow through the unit. They no longer make use of a pilot flame. They have manual controls for water flow and gas flow. If mounting the unit internally, a venting pipe must be used to the outside. These units may not be mounted in a bathroom.
Kexin will be introducing a stainless steel range shortly so units mounted outside will be better protected against the elements.
